Joint director of Public Instruction, Govt. of W.B. and advisor at West Bengal Central School Service Commission, Dr.Patha Karmakar is a paramount in the field of Mathematics and education.He also holds the designation of Jt.Supervisor of Ph.D Scholar at N.I.T Durgapur.
He being an administrator in West Bengal Education Service (W.B.E.S) served as a professor in renowned colleges like Bethune, Bidhannagar Govt., Jalpaiguri Govt.in the past .
Dr.Karmakar completed his doctoral research in Mathematics from N.I.T Durgapur and was awarded with Ph.D degree in 2013. After that in 2014 he guided P.G students of Bethune College for their masters thesis project.
He authored several text-books on Mathematics like,Mathematical Formula A to Z and Short Cut Techniques in Maths, G.K. Album, Maths focus besides various books for competitive examinations. Apart from books written by him, his knowledge is manifested in various publications along with his 17 research papers in national and international journals.
Besides his immeasurable scientific activities, he has done colossal works in organizing and participating in various national/ international seminars, workshops and conferences. He is also associated with numerous societies of Science and Mathematics as Life member.
For Dr.Patha Karmakar's plethora of works in educational and research field various academic bodies of India bestowed him with several awards like Bharat Ratna Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam Excellence Award,Academic Excellence Award and many more .
